Brandon Townsend - Head Coach. Brandon is a graduate of North Central B.A. Athletic Training where he pitched for three years. He also earned a master’s degree in Athletic Administration from California University in Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM). Brandon is Millikin University’s Head Baseball Coach and strength and conditioning coach.
Stacy Lowe - Assistant Coach. Stacy was the Assistant Coach of the Decatur American Legion Team for many years prior to taking on that role with the Decatur Commodores at the inception of the program. Additionally Stacy serves as the Commodores Bench Manager, Traveling General Manager and Equipment Specialist. He is an invaluable member of the Commodore Organization.
Kevin Koslofski - Organization Coach. Graduated from Maroa Forsyth High School in 1984 and was drafted that year by the Kansas City Royals. Kevin played 13 years in professional baseball with 4 seasons in the majors with the Royals and Milwaukee Brewers. Kevin coached the Mt. Zion Junior Legion and Decatur American Legion Team team for several years before becoming the head coach for the 18U Decatur Commodores team.
J.D. Arnold - Head Coach. J.D. is a graduate and former infielder at Blackburn College. He is a teacher in the Decatur Public Schools and the Head Coach of St. Teresa High School. J.D. was a professional softball player for the Decatur Pride as well as other professional teams in the Midwest.
Adam Carlisle - Assistant Coach. I am 26 years old, born and raised in Decatur, IL. I graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2011. Then I preceded to go to Millikin University where I played baseball for four years. I graduated from Millikin in 2015 with a degree in Physical Education and I am currently using that degree to teach Drivers Education at Eisenhower. I played with the Commodores throughout high school and this is my fourth summer helping JD.
Kyle Bruce - Assistant Coach. I was born and raised in Decatur, Il and graduated from MacArthur High School in 2003. Where I was selected for the 2003 All Area team and 1st team all big 12 conference. I went on to play baseball at Lincoln College from (2003-2005). I then transferred and finished out my collegiate baseball career at Greenville College in Greenville,Il (2005-2007). Where we won the SLIAC regular season conference. I graduated with a B.A. in Criminal Justice.
After graduation I went to Rend Lake College where I was a volunteer assistant pitching coach (2007-2008). In 2015 I got back into coaching at MacArthur High School as an volunteer assistant/pitching coach. I am still currently in that role.
In 2018 I joined the Decatur Commadors Organization as an assistant coach with the 18u and 16u teams.
